When a mysterious text reading 'Goodbye World' is believed to be the act of terrorism causing chaos throughout numerous cities, a group of friends take refuge in their self-sufficient countryside home. Strained relationships amongst the groups however, cause post-apocalyptic living to be even more difficult than the challenges faced at hand.
Why? Why do they make certain movies? I know there's an audience for every type, genre, story, etc. but honestly some movies, just suck. This one had potential. The world slowly falls apart as opposed to one big, catastrophic event, and the group in question has old ties that are intriguing enough to keep you watching to find out what happens next... Then it ends and you question what it was exactly that made you keep watching in the first place. The cast is relatively decent, with Gaby Hoffman commanding attention throughout, but things just did not work here. I was half waiting for my own 'Goodbye World' text so that I didn't have to sit through this anymore.
