Each dealing with a load of guy problems, two women are in search of a much needed break from their daily routines. After finding one another on a house-swapping website, they agree to exchange everything (homes, cars, etc) for two weeks over the Christmas holiday in hopes of some peace, quiet, and relaxation (especially from their love lives). Needless to say, there are always curve balls thrown at you in life when least expected.
Obviously, this movie has romance written all over it. But who doesn't want a little romance over the holiday season? Whether you want to admit it or not, chances are you probably agree with me. There's nothing extra special about this movie, but it is enjoyable. The relationship between Kate Winslet's character and her next-door neighbor is my favorite thing about this movie. Kind of unexpected from anything you might see in the descriptions. Not to mention, Jack Black doesn't really act like Jack Black too much - which for me is a HUGE plus (so don't let him keep you away). It's light-hearted, it will make you smile, and it is Christmas-y. Can't go wrong here.
