Using her own life as raw material for up comedy act, Donna has plenty to add to the routine after an unfortunate breakup leads to a drunken one-night stand that leaves her pregnant. Faced with making a real life adult decision, she decides to have an abortion. With the support of her friends and roommate, she tackles the challenge head on, and grows up some in the process herself.
I. Loved. This. Movie! Regardless of your stance (pro-life, pro-choice), this film deals with real-life events and the decisions that some women must face. The characters in the film are completely realistic, and totally be related to. And I don't feel like it makes the point to run out and abort your baby if you find out you're expecting, so much as it stresses the importance of having protected sex. I feel like this movie did for abortion, what Juno did for unplanned pregnancies. If you have a sense of humor, you will not be let down by this flick. Obviously.
